Buckingham’s Annual Christmas Parade is back Saturday 14th December and promises to delight audiences of all ages. Organised by the Christmas Parade Committee, this year’s theme, “Games,” will inspire a vibrant display of creativity, featuring vehicle and walking floats, marching bands, and much more.
From 10.45am onwards, the parade will wind its way through the town centre, starting and finishing at Chandos Road. This community free event is open to the public, and spectators are encouraged to arrive early to secure the best viewing spots along the route. Free parking will be available at Cornwall’s Meadow Car Park, and attendees are reminded to dress warmly to fully enjoy the experience.
After the parade, warm up and enjoy a festive afternoon at the Community Fair hosted at Buckingham Community Centre from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM. This family-friendly event offers free entry and will feature local charities, groups, and organisations highlighting their work, raising awareness, and fundraising for their causes.

To enable the Parade to be kept safe, there will be a road closure organised by the Town Council and a bus diversion in place whilst the parade is taking place. Please check routes before you travel.
Councillor Robin Stuchbury, Chair of Town Centre & Events Committee said “we are incredibly supportive of the Buckingham Parade and are pleased to help fund and facilitate the event. Our staff and stewards ensure that the event takes place safely and volunteers are essential to enabling this to take place. Most importantly this is a large part of our Christmas budget which the Committee allocate promoting the trade and business in the town in conjunction with the Christmas Lights Switch-On and Community Fair. The success of these events relies on careful planning, governance, and collaboration in the lead-up to the celebrations. We are excited to see families come together on the morning of the Parade, continuing a much-loved Buckingham tradition. And we encourage everyone to make the most of this festive occasion by staying longer to shop locally and support local charities at the Community Fair.”
