Buckingham gears up for skatepark event!

Buckingham Town Council is excited to host the upcoming “Bridge Street Skatepark Jam,” a thrilling skatepark event set to take place this Saturday 17th August at Bridge Street Skatepark. This highly anticipated gathering commencing at midday, is open to participants aged 8 and above, regardless of skill level.

The event will feature a packed schedule of activities, including:

  • Friendly Competitions: With categories ranging from beginners to pros, everyone will have the chance to showcase their best tricks and compete for awesome prizes.
  • Professional Demos: Ride with a pro, elevate your skills and watch jaw-dropping demonstrations by professional athletes from King Ramps.
  • Food Trucks and Vendors: Enjoy Burgers, Jumbo Hot Dogs, Chilli Burritos, or Chilli Nachos from local trader Tribal Eatz and chill down with Marks Ices and a traditional Whippy!
  • Skatepark Culture: The event is hosted by Canvas Spaces, who will be providing music and an MC.

Councillor Robin Stuchbury, Chair of Buckingham Town Centre & Events Committee said “The Buckingham Town Council Events Committee is excited to announce a community skateboard event at the newly upgraded skate park in Buckingham, owned by Buckinghamshire Council. Thanks to the hard work of our team, this event is now moving forward. Many of our committee members have long supported skateboarding events and have eagerly anticipated the improvements to the skate park, which will allow us to host our annual event once again this year”.
